Blossom Where You’re Planted!

I remember growing up as a little girl.. My cousins and I would head out in the woods to play. We were unafraid and seldom looked forward to the exploration. We would often create games and interesting ways of entertaining each other. We lived in the country, about 10 miles from any department store. We were not priviledged to have the newest toys or access to playgrounds, or the YMCA. As children, we didn’t wait for opportunities, we created them. We made the best of what was within our environment. I learned a lot from my fearless and innovative youthful days. I’ve also utilized those same principles in my business and personal life. They work. I’ve had to identify opportunities as they present themselves and achieve the highest rewards within my scope of sphere.

If business employs the art of managing change, then entrepreneurship is the art of identifying and developing opportunity. We are all creative, however, some develop the creative gift more than others. Blossom where you are planted and know that you cannot wait for opportunities to come to you. You must intentionally pursue opportunities. If they don’t find you, create one!!!!!

Candid Transformation!

fear-into-action.jpg

I am intentional about helping you to Transform your life and take action from every place of fear. Your voice matters. LIVE Forward!

You are who you are because God created you for a wondrous purpose. Everything that God created was good. I know; you’re probably having the same thoughts I had !! You’re probably saying to yourself, ” you can’t convince me that the rejection, the shame, the humiliation, the guilt, the loneliness that I experienced was good! No, it didn’t feel good, but for me; it has all worked for my good. It is working for your good as well. It happened. It may have left you fearing to move forward. Let me be very candid. I use to be stuck in that same place of fear.

I went through many years of turmoil trying to re-define my identity and identify my purpose in life. It was intentional. I always knew I was a rare jewel, especially since my name means ” crowned”. It wasn’t until I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior that I begin to discover and embrace my purpose, identity, and begin to walk toward destiny. That is a liberating emotional state.

I was that young lady that always knew I had an unique sense of style. I had a very unorthodox way of thinking and processing information. Little did I know, The Lord placed this unique sense of style , this unique sense of doing things in my DNA during His creation process. I had to embrace the total package that identified my uniqueness. It is my true essence. Although I may have seemed complex to many, it was all apart of my identification. I am the authentic, unique me. I had to learn to embrace my unique, authentic self. I had to learn to love me, celebrate me, say yes to me, and recognize that every facet of my style and identification had already been calculated into the creation process.

If this has encouraged you, please leave me a comment and share with others.

OVERcoming Vision Killers

OVERcoming Vision Killers

Do not give up plate Royalty Free Stock Image

Listen Up!! The only way you will be exempt from being challenged with defeating the dream killers, will be to not have a vision or goal and decide to follow a well thought out action plan to bring your vision to fruition.

Like Helen Keller and countless other people that had to discover a way to overcome the vision killer of a physical disability and pain. However, there are other less dramatic ones, yet no less deadly, vision killers. They can include fear of ridicule, self doubt, people pleasing, being rejected, stereotypes, self sabotage, fear of failing, or actually failing, tradition, breaking barriers, fatigue, burnout, short term thinking, poor planning, discouragement, deception, complacency, being stuck, and so on.

I became intrigued about how Helen Keller defeated her physical handicap as a blind person. I was interested in how she was able to make a significant difference while being blind. Being blind inflicted many limitations upon her. She failed numerous times at various pursuits. Nevertheless, she was determined to learn. Helen Keller  went on to become a world famous speaker,  author, an advocate for people with disabilities, and an active member of the socialist party.

In my resolve to find my answers to how Helen Keller managed to overcome her physical disability, I learned that Helen Keller never gave up. She taught me to be careful not to allow my handicap, or anything else limit me. Although Helen Keller was blind and was challenged with traditional learning, she researched and defeated the odds against her by finding a support system through a young lady that was interested in her success, Ann Sullivan.

DON’T Quit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When things go wrong as they will sometimes!

When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill!

When the funds are low, and the debts are high!

And you want to smile, but you have to sigh!

When care is pressing you down a bit!

Rest if you must, but don’t quit!

Success is failure turned inside out!

The silver tint of the clouds of doubt!

And you never can tell how close you are!

It may be near, when it seems afar!

So, stick to the fight, the plan, even when you’re hardest hit!

It’s when things go wrong that you must be creative, find another way…

But you mustn’t quit!!!!!!!!!!!

What Are You Doing On The Sideline?

Attachment-1As I sat in the stand on a Friday night, watching our son, Eric,  play football, I frantically noticed he had become injured and had to sit out of the game for awhile.  I sat and observed his disposition, body language, posture, and most disappointing; was his disbelief in having to be placed on the sideline, on the bench. I could hear him say, “I haven’t been on the sideline in years, I don’t like this”. I also began to hear some very  thought provoking words. Although I’m injured, nevertheless, my mind is conditioned to redirect my body to continue to fight despite my body not wanting to cooperate. I feel out of place, he responded mentally. The sideline is not for me. Although I’m injured, I perform my best when challenged. I’m a leader. I’m a team player. Now, my team needs me.

He began to rationalize the circumstance. I’ve been in this place before;just not on the sideline. Since I have to be placed on the sideline, this time will be alloted to developing my comeback plan, my action plan, my winning, come- back strategy. Needless to say, he’s focus. He looks determined. I could tell he had a plan by his body language. He reenter the game as the starting running back. Down, set, hut 1, hut 2. The center gives the ball to Eric and the rest..you know…was history…Eric makes an astounding, 82 yard, come back touchdown.
